That's a little bit difficult to explain but i'll try... so... you go to the css and you see there some codes right? at the section layout_general is where the header is put but the header must be put also into a site like imageshack and then copy the direct link and paste it in the css and after this is the size of the header and you can make it bigger or smaller (if you understand anything i am glad... and if you want i'll help you with the header ^^)... as for the colours i can give you a site where you can find the codes of the colours and then you can copy the codes of the colours you like and paste them in the css but i give you an advise... you can become member of the css group task force and there you will find a locked topic and there are some instructions and how can you put the colours so your page can become awesome... hope this helps you anything you need just ask me... ^^
